Hildale is a city located in Washington County, Utah. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 1,895.

Hildale is a twin city to the more well-known Colorado City, Arizona. The two cities straddle the border between the states of Utah and Arizona. Hildale is the headquarters of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Hildale is located at 37°0'10" North, 112°59'14" West (37.002845, -112.987315).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.6 km2 (2.9 mi2). 7.6 km2 (2.9 mi2) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Hildale Demographics:

As of the census of 2000, there are 1,895 people, 232 households, and 215 families residing in the city. The population density is 248.9/km2 (644.2/mi2). There are 243 housing units at an average density of 31.9/km2 (82.6/mi2). The racial makeup of the city is 96.41% White, 0.21% African American, 0.47% Native American, 0.63% Asian, 0.63% Pacific Islander, 0.84% from other races, and 0.79% from two or more races. 1.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 232 households out of which 76.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 82.3% are married couples living together, 8.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 6.9% are non-families. 6.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 8.17 and the average family size is 8.10.

In the city the population is spread out with 63.6% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 18.4% from 25 to 44, 6.3% from 45 to 64, and 2.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 13 years. For every 100 females there are 96.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 75.8 males.
